Why work with me?
I have been where you are. I struggled with terrible sleep for over 15 years. A big reason I wanted to help my children learn good quality sleep, besides the importance of it for them, was due to my own inability to sleep. My insomnia plus my children’s inability to sleep made the beginning years of parenthood very challenging. I struggled to fall asleep, dealt with multiple night wakings, often awake for very long periods, in addition to waking too early. I relied on supplements for about 15 years. I tried many solutions over the years, but I never made any progress.

Suddenly, things got much worse, and things that had worked in the past weren’t working any longer. I sought my doctor’s help, who only suggested prescription sleep aids, which made my sleep even worse.

I became certified as a Solve Your Sleep Sleep Consultant (which is part of the Sleep Sense Family), initially to solve my own sleep problems. I was my first test subject for this program. I went from being a pretty poor sleeper, stressed and anxious about sleep, to being a good sleeper. Sleep rarely crosses my mind! Well… let me rephrase that. Sleep is all I think about in this line of work, but my own sleep is rarely even a thought anymore. I know that when bedtime comes, I will feel pleasantly drowsy after my bedtime routine, drift off to sleep, and get a good night’s sleep, all before waking in the morning at a decent time.

I understand how challenging and stressful it can be to make changes to your sleep habits while second-guessing every step of the process. My focus is to educate you to help you get the quality sleep you need. I will work with you to create a sleep plan based on your needs, so you can finally feel rested and get the sleep you need. I provide support throughout the entire process, so you never feel lost or alone. Good sleep is possible. Let me show you how!

When is the right time to start improving your sleep?
There is no one size fits all answer here. The best answer is when you feel ready to be consistent with the changes we will discuss. While I can provide you with all of the information, if you do not implement it, or follow through, you will not achieve success. Ensuring you feel ready to commit to these changes will help you be successful.

It is also important to note that we will need 4 weeks of consistency while you implement our program so that you will not be traveling or having any big events that may interfere with your sleep. The more consistent we can be with our new sleep plan, the easier this will be for you.

How fast will I see results?
Often, individuals who start to go through my program will start to see a change in just a few nights! We will slowly and gently work on improving your sleep, over the course of a 4 week period. Each week, we will focus on some new goals to continue improving your sleep. Every individual is different, so I can not guarantee a timeline.
Do you have a guarantee?
I can not guarantee my services because some of the results are out of my hands. You play a huge role in the success of the process. Both your commitment and follow through are necessary for success. I will do everything in my power to get you to your goal, but I can not force you to follow the plan. Of course, mistakes and misunderstandings happen from time to time, but these are easily corrected along the way as we stay in touch throughout the implementation of the plan. As long as you follow the customized advice I give you, and you truly want to sleep better, I will help you reach the goals we outline in the initial meeting. Individuals that follow the plan make tremendous improvements.

Sometimes there are underlying medical issues that may interfere with our progress as well. I am not a doctor. We will discuss seeing a doctor if we suspect medical issues are interfering with your sleep.

My goal is for you to achieve your sleep goals, and I will do everything I can to help you get to this point.
