Why It Works
My Philosophy
The Sleep Sense Way
I’m proud of the Sleep Sense Philosophy and wholeheartedly agree.
As a Certified Sleep Sense™ Consultant, I believe healthy sleep habits make for healthy children. A well-rested child is happy, energetic, playful, curious, and ready to learn. Sleep promotes growth, increases attention span, boosts brain function, and helps our bodies rejuvenate and fight germs. I take the honor and responsibility of being your child’s sleep guide very seriously.
That’s why my sleep method places so much emphasis on accommodating different parenting styles. The bottom line is that you must be comfortable with your new sleep plan to create healthy sleep habits in order for it to work for your child!

Improve sleep through healthy habits.
With me as your Sleep Sense Consultant, the approach to improving your child’s sleep through healthy habits is simple. The sleep plan that I will create for your family is personalized based on our discussion and the information you provide. Your sleep plan outlines your needs and the methods and strategies that will work best to reach your sleep goals.

A little note about the “crying” question…
Since people always ask me about whether my solutions involve “crying it out,” I think it’s something that deserves to be addressed here. Crying is your child’s way of protesting change, and you can expect that making changes to their sleep habits will result in some protest. That’s why I always tell parents that my program will most likely involve at least some amount of protest on the child’s part. Please understand that I will never ask you to leave your child to cry alone, nor will I ask you to ignore their cries. The reason that the Sleep Sense™ Method is so effective is that it lets you develop a plan that you feel comfortable with, based on what you know about your child.
Happy Clients

“I was at my wit’s end and didn’t know what to do. The first week my son woke once to eat in a 12 hour night sleep, and by the second week he was sleeping 12 hours without waking, including his 3 hours of naps a day. He is now a year old and still sleeps this same way!”

“Erin provided me with many pep talks, encouragements, and reminders of our end goals and why we’re doing what we were doing. About 2 months later, our lives have changed drastically since those sleepless, crazy, hazy days.”
