Success Stories

The Sleep Sense™ Method, created by Dana Obleman in 2003, has already helped thousands of parents just like you teach their children healthy sleep habits. It was my strong belief in Dana’s system that inspired me to become a professional sleep consultant, and I look forward to helping you and your family achieve the same results that my recent clients have been enjoying. Here are some letters from them:

Erin has an incredible amount of knowledge regarding sleep training.  She is so helpful and supportive.  I honestly do not think I would be where I am today with my toddler and my infant’s sleep if it wasn’t for all of Erin’s advice.  I am grateful to have been able to learn so much from her already and I look forward to continuing to learn from her as my children get older and we experience new sleep challenges!

I am so thankful to have the knowledge of (Erin) Chasing Dreams Sleep Consulting at my fingertips! My son is now getting the full night of sleep that he needs and so am I! The plan, tips, and consistent encouragement have been life saving in the process of helping teach my baby how to sleep on his own. He is so much happier for it too!

Thank you so much for all your help, you saved my sanity! You helped me with both my kids, always patiently answering queries and encouraging good sleep habits! I wouldn’t have survived the last 2 years without you!

You have done so much to change my sleep life this time around! With my first daughter we did sparatic bedtime and cried it out eventually because I was at my wits end. With all of your help I am so proud to say my 5 month old has been sleeping (mostly) theough the nights starting at 7pm!!!! My sanity was saved! And it is ALL thanks to your program!

Thank you for all your help- I owe you my sanity! You helped me through every transition my kids went through and got my kids sleeping through the night and napping!

Worrying about your child’s sleep is one of those added stresses you don’t need. Erin gets this. She’s a mom herself. And she understands sleep training can be hard! There’s a misconception that sleep training is just letting your child cry for hours. This is the farthest from the truth! Erin works with you to come up with a plan that will be successful but that you are comfortable with. She understands the sleep needs of children from newborns to toddlers and can help at every stage. She will set you up for success from the beginning with helpful sleep habits and tips, to working on correcting long established bad habits in older children. Along the way she checks in on you, provides words of encouragement, and truly wants success for you. I highly recommend Erin as a sleep consultant as she has helped me and my daughter get great sleep night after night!

Our 4 year old was always a good sleeper and slept on his own and in his own bed. We always bragged about him and how awesome WE slept. Because of this, we never expected to be where we were with his bad sleep routine and habits. Somewhere along the line, when he was 3ish, before we even realized what happened, he had done a complete 180 and was a terrible sleeper. He was taking 2-3 hours to go to sleep, coming out of his room several times, waking 3-5 times in the middle of the night, and on top of it waking up early. He was sleep deprived and his behavior showed that. He was even having temper tantrums in the middle of the night when he’d wake because he was SO tired! After working with Erin, we saw immediate results.

After just a few nights, he was falling asleep within 10-15 minutes and not coming out of his room at all. Within a couple of weeks he was not having any more middle of the night wake ups and was staying in his room until it was time to get up.

Erin was knowledgeable and direct with her guidance and suggestions and she was so incredibly encouraging, allowing us to execute the plan we had decided on with confidence.

We sing her praises wherever and to whomever we can. Erin’s support and expertise were so worth it – to see my child’s behavior completely change for the better because he is sleeping soundly again! I cannot recommend Erin enough!

I started to work with Erin after 3 failed sleep training attempts when my little one was 8 months old. Recovering from a bout with the flu, my little one had to be rocked, nursed, bounced to sleep and to stay asleep. Life was miserable for all of us and various DYI sleep training methods wasn’t working the way we expected it to. I was too stressed and tired to read all of the sleep training materials out there, many of which were seemingly conflicting.

In desperation, I reached out for help. Entered Erin. At first,  after hearing our case, Erin offered what was critically missing: clear instructions. Between the exhaustion and the stress, nothing was clear in my head. Having clear and straight forward instructions took the double guessing, self doubt and wavering thoughts out of the process. This allows me to apply the sleep training method consistently, which was critical.

Of course, for a while, nothing was going accordingly plan. We had a lot of bad habits to correct. So through out the process, Erin helped me make adjustments to the plan daily. I can’t stress enough how important these adjustments are to my sanity and our progress. Without them, I’d just back to square one: lost and don’t know what to do. It’s a lot like that panicky feeling one gets when she takes a wrong turn and goes off the map. Except, with Erin’s help, that panicky feeling went away.

It took us a 2+ long weeks to see the light of the tunnel. Along the way, Erin provided me with many pep talks, encouragements, and reminders of our end goals and why we’re doing what we where doing. 1.5-2 months later, our lives have changed drastically since those sleepless, crazy, hazy days. I can now enjoy both the baby and the rest of the family. There’s a routine to our hectic schedule. I’m loving it again. I can wholeheartedly say that this would not happen without Erin’s help. She changed our lives for the better. We’re so grateful.

Erin is a sleep wizard! She can objectively look at a schedule or situation and offer great suggestions on how to improve sleep for your child, and in turn, you.

I can credit Erin with saving my sanity. With my first baby, I was terribly overwhelmed between a c-section, breastfeeding and having a newborn, I could not figure out how new parents were supposed to get any sleep. It was making me a terrible mother. I was impatient, emotional and, of course, exhausted. Luckily, I found Erin through a Facebook support group and the tips and resources she provided taught me so much about navigating my daughter’s first year of life. Honestly, I think most child behavior starts with sleep (and food) and builds from there. So, truly, helping my newborn learn to sleep also helped her develop quickly and well throughout the years.

Erin helped me learn a lot about sleep (some of which actually helps ME!). She taught me about appropriate wake times for babies, how to put my newborn down in her crib awake buy drowsy, how to make sure I knew her cues (hungry v. tired) and also about sleep crutches. With all of these tactics, I no longer felt scared to put my baby to sleep, but confident instead, equipped with tools to help her.

Erin is always there for me, too, when I’m panicked about some new stage of sleep training. My first is now almost 2 1/2 and I have another child who is 5 months old. Whenever I ask our group questions, she is usually the first and most thorough response. It’s so great to know I’ve always got her in my back pocket in case I have questions.

I will also say that I am part of a few other parenting groups and no one else will work with newborns’ sleep. This group and Erin are the first I’ve ever seen who will help a baby under the age of 4 months learn how to sleep independently. In a time of life when you are so overwhelmed, 4 months might as well be 40 years, so Erin’s early help was crucial to me!

I can’t recommend her enough; again, she was a lifesaver for us
